Thanksgiving Dinner

Saturday, November 11th, 11:00- 1:00 PM, CLS Clubhouse

Come join us for one of CLS's most honored traditions. Enjoy a delicious homemade Thanksgiving dinner with all of the fixins.

As always we are in need of volunteers to help with prepping, cooking, serving, and decorating along with setup and breakdown, November 7-11.

The afternoon of Nov. 7 we will be setting up tables for the prep stations. We will also need to have knives sharpened and equipment brought down from storage. All this and the cooking equipment will have to be washed. The refrigerator wiped out and stove cleaned as well as it can be!

Wednesday morning at 7:30 the fun begins with making the cranberry sauce. Lots of onions and celery to be chopped. About 70 pounds of potatoes to peel. We will do as much prep as we can and continue cooking on Thursday with the sweet potatoes and green beans.

Friday morning is everyone’s favorite - the dressing and roux for the gravy. We are usually finished shortly after noon on Friday so the set up for the dinner can happen. In addition, we need help smoking the many turkeys and then slicing them up, there are sign up slots for those as well.

On Saturday morning as with any dinner there are many last minute details to to be done. Any amount of time you can spare would be appreciated. You can see a more detailed timeline on the website. We are looking forward to seeing all our “seasoned” volunteers and having new ones join us.

We are also in need of homemade deserts that don't need to  that don't need to be refrigerated as well as homemade cornbread.
